Coronavirus (COVID-19)

All four of our Adventure Playgrounds are now operating term time hours (3.30pm to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday). Our Youth Clubs have also restarted - please see individual playground pages for more information.

The maximum number of people who can use the playgrounds at any one time is 200, inclusive of adults. We will, however, be monitoring COVID-19 transmission rates across the borough, and will reduce or increase our maximum numbers accordingly in order to keep our families safe. Children aged under five years are exempt. Up to 16 people are permitted to use the cabins, inclusive of adults.

Halloween2021

Halloween is lurking just around the corner, and the Adventure Playgrounds have lots of scary activities for children and their families to engage in. Why not come along and have a go at making your own haunted house or spooky face mask, or get creative carving your own pumpkin? If Halloween isn't your thing, then we have plenty of other activities for the family, such as games, sports and arts and crafts.

Please see individual playground pages for a full programme breakdown.

Our adventure playgrounds

Adventure playgrounds

We have four adventure playgrounds across the borough, which are free to use and cater for 8 to 16 year olds (children under 8 are welcome when accompanied by an adult). They are a safe environment for children to meet, play and learn.

They are managed and supervised by a team of qualified staff and provide a secure and stimulating environment for all children, including those with special needs and disabilities. Please remember that the playgrounds are run as open access facilities, which means that children are not restricted and can come and go as they wish (all children attending one of our playgrounds must register beforehand, see below for registration details).

Have your own adventure

Our adventure playgrounds are available to hire outside normal opening hours. Ideal for birthday parties (including discos, inflatables and laser tag), family gatherings and school events.

The cabins are equipped with pool and table tennis tables and each adventure playground has its own unique outside sports area and wooden play structures.

Although there will be a member of staff on the premises, parents are responsible for their children and guests at all times with the exception of laser tag and inflatables, when trained staff will be provided.
