Supported housing options

Supported housing is accommodation for people who are aged 60 and over, who can live on their own but who would like to have support close by.

We have 29 supported housing schemes across Dacorum with a range of self-contained flats and bungalows. You can find out about the schemes by visiting our Schemes in Hemel Hempstead and Schemes in Berkhamsted, Tring and the villages pages.

We also manage a large number of flats and bungalows which are not part of a scheme, but are designed to meet the needs of older people. Social gatherings and activities are often available within these schemes. Find out more about these by reading our  Dispersed flats and bungalows Information Sheet (PDF 366KB).

Flexicare housing is available at Evelyn Sharp House for people who want to remain independent but have support available when they need it.

Each supported housing scheme has a supported housing officer (working five days a week) who runs the scheme and looks after the residents’ well being.

All properties in supported housing schemes are connected to the community alarm system.
