Grovehill Future project
Neighbourhood Plans focus on the needs of the local area, giving local communities the opportunity to improve and shape where they live, work, shop and go to school. The Grovehill Neighbourhood Plan is one of the first of its kind, and tests out the new planning powers introduced as part of the Localism Act.
Go to our neighbourhood planning page to find out more about the process behind creating a neighbourhood plan.
The Grovehill Neighbourhood Plan will create a vision for the area and planning policies for the development and use of land in the neighbourhood. For example, identifying where new homes and offices should be built, including what they should look like, as well as other facilities and improvements the area needs.
It will set planning policies for the development and use of land within Grovehill, and be a vision and plan for regenerating Henry Wells Square and the surrounding area.
The Grovehill Future group
Grovehill Future is the community group driving the work to develop and prepare the Grovehill Neighbourhood Plan. Volunteers for the group came forward at the launch event and members include local residents, businesses and representatives from the Grovehill and Woodhall Farm Neighbourhood Action Group.
To find out more about the journey so far, go to our Grovehill journey page.
The group meets once a month and new members are always welcome. To join in, just turn up to one of the meetings. You only need to attend three meetings to become a voting member of the Neighbourhood Forum.
