Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy Consultation 2020

Our  Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2016-2020 (PDF 4MB) is due for renewal.

We're being supported by the Housing Quality Network (HQN) to engage with key stakeholders through a range of consultation exercises, to help us shape the development of a new Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy for the period 2020 to 2024.

The development of a Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy is a statutory requirement, so it's vital that it outlines the key priorities that the service will take to aid prevention and homelessness activities.

Have your say

Following on from feedback we've received so far, a draft strategy has been created:  Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy Draft 2020-2024 (PDF 2MB).

Please have a look at the draft and email your feedback to housing.engagement@dacorum.gov.uk before Thursday 27 March 2020. Before this deadline, we will also hold further consultations at The Elms emergency accommodation facility in mid March.

What happens next?

After the consultation closes, the final draft strategy will be produced and referred for consideration through our formal committees and approval process. It's expected that the new strategy will be published in early summer 2020.
