Mobile Homes Fees Policy consultation

We asked for your views on our revised  Draft Mobile Homes Fees Policy (PDF 984KB). A consultation ran between 22 July 2019 and 3 September 2019. The response will be considered at a Licensing and Health and Safety Committee meeting in the near future.

The Mobile Homes Act 2013, which came into force in 2014, allows us to charge a fee for various aspects of our licensing of caravan sites.

Local authorities can charge fees for:

  • considering applications for the issue or transfer of a site licence
  • considering applications for altering conditions in a site licence
  • administration and monitoring of site licences

We must have a fees policy in place if we are to charge for these services, and the fees are charged to the licensee.
