Dacorum Business Heroes sponsors
West Herts College - Headline sponsor
These are exciting times for Hemel Hempstead, with many opportunities for businesses as our local economy continues to grow. West Herts College wants to be at the heart of this, working in partnership with employers to develop the skills Dacorum people need to flourish.
Phase 2 of our new town-centre campus is on schedule to open in 2020. And our range of courses for people of all ages continues to grow, with record numbers of students applying to join us. There’s innovation, too, across the services we offer direct to local businesses - with our expanding portfolio of apprenticeships focusing on occupations where demand for skills is greatest.
For all these reasons, it’s an honour to be supporting Dacorum Business Heroes - best of luck to everyone that enters.

Marlowes Shopping Centre - Retail
Situated in the heart of Hemel Hempstead, The Marlowes is the town’s prime retail destination, offering great shopping in a family-friendly environment. Currently undergoing a multi-million pound refurbishment to include a cinema and food outlets.
Barnard and Webb Solicitors - Employment
Barnard and Webb Solicitors is a boutique employment law and HR firm based within a five-minute drive of both Hemel Hempstead and St Albans.
We work for individuals and businesses nationally. Keen to break away from the constraints of a ‘traditional’ law firm, we specialise in employment law only. We do not have the same expensive overheads that our competitors have which means we can provide the same services at a lower cost, without compromising on quality.
Our mission is simple - to provide all our clients, whether employers or employees, with the highest quality advice and outstanding client care in a professional but supportive way.

Hemel Hempstead BID - Business in the Community
The Business Improvement District (BID) is a business-led and funded body formed to improve the town centre over the next five years. BIDs charge a levy to local businesses in return for providing services over and above the usual council provision.
Place marketing is a key part of the BID. It will provide a strong platform for promoting what Hemel and local businesses have to offer, from markets and events to news and special offers.
The BID will deliver online media and a calendar of exciting events to raise the town’s family-friendly profile to a wider audience and attract more visitors.
My Mustard - Business to Business
We all use Google because we know, like and trust it to deliver the best results. Google makes its money by showing ads called AdWords or sponsored links. That’s what we do all day, every day and have done since 2007. We work with dozens of clients who know that Search, Display, Remarketing, Shopping, Mobile, YouTube and Gmail campaigns are key parts of their marketing strategy and outsource their campaign activity to us for efficiency and peace of mind. My Mustard clients also enjoy the benefits of LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pay-per-click advertising opportunities.
The recipe for My Mustard is pretty straightforward: Take eight professional women, two rather splendid young men, a joke-telling pig-rabbit, the world’s biggest search engine, some forward-thinking customers, and mix well. Add hours of number crunching, extensive market research, some seriously creative writing, a lot of patience, a bucketful of tenacity and a bit of luck. Sprinkle with endless enthusiasm and serve hot.
“The winner is the chef who takes the same ingredients as everyone else and produces the best results.”
We work really hard and are nice people to do business with. We realised on day one that we can only do well if our clients do well so we try to stay focused on their success at all times. We really like what we do and it shows... and we always play to win.

Hemel Hempstead Business Ambassadors - Environment
The aim of the Business Ambassadors is clear: to promote Hemel Hempstead and the wider borough of Dacorum to strengthen the reputation of the area as the prime choice for business, attract key people to work and live in the area, create new jobs, attract top talent and persuade employers, investors and developers to see the area as the perfect place to invest. HHBA is proud to promote economic growth and prosperity of the local areas as a key priority.
Becoming an Ambassador means being part of a business community, which not only represents the area and shares our story to those beyond the borough but also give you unique access to what’s going on locally before it happens. Through the structured, high-quality events you will get to meet and hear from council, investors and other business leaders about the opportunities, challenges and key initiatives shaping our area.
As Ambassadors our businesses are stronger together and provide one united voice to solve problems and celebrate successes.
