There's still time to help shape our new Local Plan

In November last year, we launched the consultation on the Emerging Strategy for Growth – the next step to creating the new Dacorum Local Plan 2020-2038.

We would like as many people as possible to take part in the consultation, and extended the deadline in January to allow people longer to respond. The consultation closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 28 February 2021.

Details about how to take part in the consultation and supporting information, including the Emerging Strategy for Growth, summary guide and video are available on our New Dacorum Local Plan (to 2038) page.

You can also view our Emerging Strategy for Growth virtual exhibition for more information. Visitors to the virtual exhibition can ask questions via the 'leave a message' function.

Cllr Graham Sutton, Portfolio Holder for Planning and Infrastructure, said: "We have had a great response to the consultation so far, and would like to thank the many residents who have taken the time to give their feedback. It is important to bear in mind that the Emerging Strategy for Growth is not the final version of the Local Plan. I hope that residents that have not already done so will take the opportunity to have their say and help shape the future of our borough."

Hard copies of the Emerging Strategy for Growth are available to loan from Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring libraries. Information on locations and opening hours is available on Hertfordshire County Council's website.

The Emerging Strategy for Growth is also available to view by appointment at The Forum. Please contact our Strategic Planning team to make arrangements.
