Dacorum residents unleash their creative side at home

Seek and Hide

As part of Hertfordshire Year of Culture 2020 (HYOC2020), we're showcasing creativity and cultural opportunities across the borough.

One such project is a brand new, animated event celebrating people within Hertfordshire. Funded by Arts Council England and supported by the Hertfordshire districts of Dacorum, Three Rivers and Watford, Seek and Hide is a virtual performance combining animation, contemporary dance and music, led by professional artists.

Free to participate, Seek and Hide is open to people of all ages (children should be accompanied) and has been developed by specialist dance agency, BEEE Creative, and KAN Collective, so that residents can release their creative side from the comfort of their own home.

Combining animations with dance, participants will get the chance to create drawings and bring them to life as part of a multi-media installation with support from professional artists. The events, which will take place over Zoom, are part of BEEE Creative’s #TAG programme of intergenerational dance events, which are running throughout 2020 to celebrate HYOC.

With final animation workshop dates in July and dance workshops in September/October, Seek and Hide will culminate in a performance in November to celebrate the people of Hertfordshire.
