Teams hit the gold standard in RSPCA awards

We've achieved gold standards in the annual RSPCA PawPrint Awards.

The Environmental Community Protection Animal Welfare team and the Housing team were recognised for their ongoing commitment to achieving higher animal welfare standards.

The awards reward the good practice of public bodies in relation to animal welfare.

The teams achieved the gold standard in two categories:

Stray dog provision

The gold standard recognises the policies and provisions that we put in place to protect dog welfare, provide staff training and promote responsible dog ownership.

Housing policies

The gold standard recognises the positive steps made to encourage and ensure responsible pet ownership in the properties we manage and to recognise others that are doing so.

Group Manager for Environmental and Community Protection, Emma Walker, and Sarah Lewis, Animal Welfare and Public Health Lead Officer, attended an awards ceremony held at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors to collect the Gold Stray Dogs Footprint.

Layna Warden, Tenants and Leaseholders Group Manager, and Ryan Glanville, Tenant and Leaseholder Lead Officer, were also present to collect the Gold Housing Footprint at the event on Tuesday 26 November.
