Tributes paid to Councillor Alan Fantham

Cllr Fantham

Tributes have been paid to Cllr Alan Fantham, a passionate Northchurch councillor, who passed away on New Year’s Day.

Cllr Fantham became a borough councillor in 2003, and was Chairman for Northchurch Parish Council for more than 30 years.

Terry Douris, Hertfordshire County Councillor, said: “Alan cared passionately about Northchurch and its residents. It was fitting that in October 2017 he was awarded the Bainbridge Trophy for services to Northchurch at a splendid gathering of his friends and colleagues at the cricket pavilion, which he cherished so much.”

Usha Kilich, Clerk to Northchurch Parish Council, said: “Alan lived and breathed Northchurch Parish Council and Northchurch Cricket Club. Many parishioners have approached me to tell me how Alan helped them or their family. He will be deeply missed.”
