We're searching for people living in the borough who are passionate about where they live and voluntarily spend their time making their community cleaner, safer and greener.
Now in its ninth year, the Clean, Safe and Green Community Champion Awards shine a light on the many selfless individuals and community groups making Dacorum a great place to live, work and play.
The award recognises individuals and groups with a passion for helping out in their local community, from recycling and litter picking to conservation work and tree-planting. They will be the people who take pride in their local area and carry out good deeds, no matter how big or small.
Last year Boho Boxmoor won the group category. Their hard-working team motivated their local community to keep Boxmoor beautiful through litter picks, community gardening, anti-dog fouling work and flower-growing competitions.
Seven-year-old Harry Stevens was our youngest ever winner, scooping the individual award last year. Harry is passionate about recycling and raising awareness of how to recycle correctly with his school friends. He also regularly supports his neighbours and local refuse collectors, as well as litter picking his street.
The winner will receive a trophy at an awards ceremony and be featured in the Dacorum Digest magazine and on our website.
Nominate someone today on our Community Champion Award page. The closing date for entries is midnight on Sunday 6 August 2017.
