Brexit takes centre stage during Business Week

Jonathan Vorss-Millins

Dacorum Business Week 2017 has secured the Head of the East of England European Partnership’s Brussels office for its keynote speech on Friday 9 June.

Jonathan Vorss-Millins will be travelling to Hemel Hempstead to personally update local businesses in the borough on the potential impact of Brexit. He's part of an exciting line-up of networking events and free practical workshops taking place during Dacorum Business Week 2017, which runs from 5 to 9 June.

Local retailers can also win the opportunity for an on-site consultation with top London visual merchandising expert Sarah Manning, who will be making sure businesses in Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead and Tring are looking their best and sharing display techniques to maximise sales.

Chris Taylor, our Group Manager for Strategic Planning and Regeneration, says: "Business Week has something to offer all businesses across our borough - from large corporates to small start-ups. Its mission is to help local businesses to network and develop knowledge and to encourage economic growth. Meet, learn or grow: identify your priorities, discover what's on and get booked up."

Other highlights include a wide range of free practical workshops - on topics from the new regulations around tax returns going digital to taking on apprentices.

Networking events aim to make business personal, growing contacts and connecting the community across the borough.

Businesses are also encouraged to book a free one-to-one business surgery providing tailored advice on a range of subjects - from tax and payroll to commercial law and marketing.
